Laryngology

Laryngology is the study of disorders of the throat, including voice and swallowing problems. Examples of these disorders are hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

We are the first and only practice in Bloomington-Normal to offer videostroboscopy. This technology enables us to take high speed video of your vocal cords vibrating. These pictures are often necessary to make an accurate diagnosis of hoarseness and may help to diagnose cancer of the vocal cords.

Voice Surgery

Diagnostic laryngoscopy with stroboscopy, laryngeal function studies, suspension microlaryngoscopy, laser removal of papillomas and polyps, surgery for vocal cord paralysis (thyroplasty), and Botox injections for spasmotic dysphonia.
